"There are two options in a person's life -- reflection and action.  One is an opportunity to think about it, the other an opportunity to live it".

2006 Update:  We are back in the water and happily looking forward to new adventures this year.  Heading for Costa Rica as you read this and planning Christmas in Panama if all goes well...Sounds like we have guests coming to Panama - Steve's folks will be visiting us in mid-January and my brother Chris in February.  Hope you all have wonderful holidays this year, some adventure and a warm and peaceful New Year!

Hola y bienvenidos! Hello and welcome to our new webpage!  We are continuing to "live our dream" and we hope you continue to enjoy our adventures along with us.  The past 12 months have been a blur...preparing the boat (and ourselves) to go on an extended cruise, doing the Baja Ha-Ha, setting out to explore Mexico with charts, books, guides, etc...however we were not prepared with how we fell in love with Mexico's charming people, the simple lifestyle and it's diverse cultures and beautiful climate and scenery.

We arrived back in Mexico on October 9, 2005 ready to explore a little more, do some underwater exploration, visit some places we haven't seen before and return to some of our favorites, and certainly learn more Spanish.

^   Steve and Susan at Isla Isabella, December '04

This was our track from September 2004 from Seattle north into the San Juan Islands, through the Straits of Juan de Fuca, rounding Neah Bay then down the coast of Washington, Oregon, California through the Channel Islands into San Diego for the Ha-Ha. We then proceeded down the outside of Baja through Turtle Bay, Magdalena Bay, to Cabo San Lucas up through East Cape and across to Mazatlan.  From Mazatlan, we headed south to Banderas Bay, Manzanillo and then to Zihuatanejo and to our most southern point at Acapulco.  We then started north again, retracing our steps until we reached Banderas Bay and then headed northwest to La Paz where we explored the southern end of the Sea of Cortez then headed up to San Carlos where the boat was dry-docked for the summer in the end of May 2005.  We traveled approximately 5,000 miles and used our engine 600 hours including time we motorsailed, charged batteries and ran the SSB and watermaker.  We hope to reduce that this year with the purchase of our new asymmetrical spinnaker (for light winds) and with the use of a generator to recharge batteries.
